1. File and Folder Upload
You can upload files and folders to SHIELDrive in various ways.

Drag & Drop Upload
- Upload documents and folders created or saved on your local PC by dragging and dropping them into the SHIELDrive window.

Upload "Create New" Menu

In the "Create New" menu, you can select the [File Upload] or [Folder Upload] option to upload files or folders.
2. Creating Files and Folders
In SHIELDrive, you can create new documents or folders directly.
- File and Folder Creation

In the "Create New" menu, you can select [New Folder], [New Word Document], [New Excel Workbook], or [New PowerPoint Presentation] to create new files or folders.

3. Copying File and Folder Links
You can copy a link to share a file or folder with other users.
- Copy link
- Hover over the file or folder or select [Copy Link] from the right-click menu to copy the link.
- You can copy the path link by clicking the copy icon in the top link.
4. Downloading Files and Folders
Here is how to download files or folders from SHIELDrive.
- Download
- Hover over the item or select [Download] from the right-click menu to download the file or folder.
- Download SHW folder
- You can download files in the SHW folder.
5. Registering Favorites
You can register documents and folders as favorites for quick access.
- Register Favorite
- Hover over the desired document or folder, or select [Add to Favorites] from the right-click menu to add it to your favorites.
- You can check the bookmarked folders and documents in the top of the main page and the favorites menu, and access them directly.
6. Pin Files and Folders to the Top
You can pin frequently accessed files/folders or files/folders that you consider important to the top of the list.

Fixed at the top
- Hover over the file/folder or select [Pin to Top] from the right-click menu to pin the file at the top of the list.

- You can unpin the fixed file card by clicking the 📌 icon.
7. Renaming Files and Folders
You can rename files or folders.
- Name Change
- Hover over the item or select [Rename] from the right-click menu, enter the new name, and click the 'OK' button to change the name.
8. Moving Files and Folders
You can move files or folders to another directory.
- Move
- Hover over the item or select [Move] from the right-click menu, then specify the path to move.
- It is not possible to move to the same path as the current file/folder.
9. Copying Files and Folders
You can copy files or folders to another directory.
- Copy
- Hover over the mouse or select [Copy] from the right-click menu, then specify the path to copy.
10. Deleting Files and Folders and Managing the Recycle Bin
You can delete files or folders and manage the recycle bin.

Delete
- Delete files or folders by hovering over them with the mouse or selecting [Delete] from the right-click menu.
- When a file is deleted, it moves to the recycle bin, and if it has been in the recycle bin for 30 days, the file will be permanently deleted.

Trash Can Management
- Files and folders moved to the recycle bin can be restored or permanently deleted.
- You can manage files or folders by selecting them in the recycle bin and choosing the [Restore] or [Permanently Delete] option.
11. File and Folder Sorting
You can sort files and folders for easier management.
- Sorting
- You can sort the file/folder list in ascending or descending order based on [Name], [Modified Date], [Modified By], and [Size].
- You can change the sorting criteria by clicking on the text of the corresponding information in the list.
- The default value is ascending order of [name].
12. Check File and Folder Details
You can check the detailed information of files or folders.

- When a folder is selected, a slide appears on the right side of the screen, and the slide contains the menus [Details], [Activity History], and [Comments]. When a file is selected, the [Version] menu appears additionally.

- **[Details]**The file preview screen displays the file type, creator, creation date, modifier, modification date, subscription settings, and tags.
- **[Activity History]**The usage history of files in this folder will be displayed. The usage history includes information about the creation, viewing, and modification of the files.
- **[Comment]**You can communicate with other users about the folder or file through comments. You can register a new comment or delete a comment you have previously registered.
- **[File Version]**You can manage file modification history and download previous versions.
13. Uploading Duplicate Files and Folders
When one or more identical items already exist in the path, the user can choose whether to replace the existing item with the new item.
- Button description

- OverwriteThe existing item will be updated to a new item.
- **Keep both.**A copy will be created while maintaining the existing item.
- Overwrite allSelect overwrite for all items.
- Keep all: Select both to maintain for all items.
14. Synchronization Failure File Management
If file synchronization fails, the available features may be limited depending on the status of the file. The features provided and the hidden features for each type are as follows in the table below.

15. Display of file cabinet capacity and retention period
Displays the capacity or retention period of each type of file box.
